Responsibilities of Businesses:

  • Collect, manage, and retain end-user data in compliance with legal and contractual obligations.

  • Inform their end users about how their data is used, stored, and shared.

  • Address requests from their end users regarding their data (e.g., access, correction, deletion).

End Users

End users are the customers of businesses that interact indirectly with Plannit through its functionalities. For example, an end user might be a person receiving an invoice or an appointment reminder generated via the Plannit platform.

Information Collected About End Users:

  • Personal contact details: name, address, phone number, email.

  • Service or transaction history: quotes, invoices, service details.

  • Specific data: photos or location information, if required for the business's services.

Relationship Between Plannit and End Users

  • Plannit acts as a data processor on behalf of businesses and does not directly control end-user data.

  • Any requests related to end-user data must be directed to the respective business.



1. Responsibilities of Businesses Using Plannit

Plannit serves as a system provider and data processor for its professional clients. However, businesses using Plannit to manage their data remain responsible for the management, retention, and deletion of the information collected in the course of their operations.

Obligations of Businesses

Businesses must:

  • Define their own data retention policies to meet legal or contractual requirements applicable to their sector or jurisdiction.

  • Inform their clients about how their data is collected, used, and retained, in accordance with their transparency obligations.

  • Manage data retention to address needs such as:

  • Retention of financial and accounting records.

  • Management of warranties or service agreements.

  • Proof of compliance with local regulations.

Plannit's Role

Plannit provides tools to:

  • Facilitate data management via the platform.

  • Offer features to export or delete data upon request.

  • Ensure a secure and compliant infrastructure for hosting data, but Plannit is not responsible for businesses' legal obligations regarding data retention.



2. Consent and Applicability

By using our Services, you consent to the processing of your personal data as described in this Policy. This Policy does not apply to the privacy practices of businesses using Plannit.

 


3. Data Retention and Deletion

a. Data Managed by Businesses

Businesses using Plannit may collect and store personal information from their end users (e.g., names, contact details, service histories). These data remain the responsibility of the businesses and may be required by local laws, such as:

  • Tax and accounting laws (e.g., data retention for seven years).

  • Consumer protection regulations.

b. Plannit's Data Management Features

Plannit enables businesses to:

  • Export data upon an end user's request.

  • Delete specific data unless legal obligations require retention.



4. Data Sharing and Retention Responsibilities

a. Internal Sharing and Security

Plannit ensures the security of data stored on its servers through measures such as:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest.

  • Strict access controls for authorized users only.

b. External Sharing and Business Obligations

Businesses using Plannit may share data with:

  • Their business partners.

  • Their subcontractors or third-party service providers.

In such cases, businesses must ensure their partners comply with applicable privacy standards.

 


5. Integration with Google Calendar and Other Third Parties

Businesses integrating third-party systems (e.g., Google Calendar) via Plannit must inform their end users about the implications of these connections, including:

  • Imported events are retained only to provide the service.

  • These data are deleted when no longer needed or upon request.

As a user or end user, you have the right to:

  • Ensure all legal obligations are met.



7. Security Measures and Data Retention

Plannit hosts data in secure, internationally compliant data centers in North America, with robust security protocols, including:

  • SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit.

  • Multi-factor authentication for platform access.

However, businesses remain responsible for managing and securing data uploaded or shared through our platform.
